Landfills in South Carolina Accepting Boats for Disposal

Some basic rules before you go:
- 1You must siphon out the gas and oil.
- 2No sewage on the boat.
- 3Ask about trailers if you want to dispose of yours. Many will only accept the trailer if you remove the tires.
- 4Ask about pulling the boat off your trailer. Most will — tip the equipment operator.
- 5CALL the landfill and find out the price (most range from $40–$150 a ton) and hours of operation.
- 6Look up the phone number, hours, and days of operation on Google and call first. Many use cell phones and when their point of contact changes, so does the phone number.
