We had some great volunteers supporting Wounded Nature-Working Veterans and South Carolina DNR in our effort to increase local seafood stocks.
The storm raged Saturday morning and the rain and wind continued as we got started. Small craft advisories were out until Sunday morning.
Billy Higgins with Land and Marine was there with one of his barges ready to go. We loaded and transported 650 bags of oyster shells plus the volunteers over to Drum Island. And as promised everyone was dirty, muddy, and wet before the day was over.
But instead of sitting home on a Saturday morning watching TV or playing with their phone they went out and made an environmental difference.
We thank those who joined our efforts to make a real environmental difference.
