Wounded Nature-Working Veterans Invites You to Attend Our Meetings!

It’s not exactly a party, but we are a fun bunch!

On the first Wednesday of every month, we invite you to join us at the Bridge Bar above the Charleston Harbor Fish House restaurant (upper deck overlooking the harbor) at Charleston Harbor Resort. This is a very informal get-together where families are welcome. We meet from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm.

This is a very informal gathering of our volunteers and supporters, the later you stay the more informal the evening gets. It is a great chance to meet us and see who we are and what we do.

There is a gate to enter the complex where the restaurant is located. Your server will give you a ticket so you do not have to pay when leaving.

BRING A FRIEND: If you know of someone who wants to volunteer, ask them to join us on Wednesday. We hope everyone interested will come out, meet some interesting people and make some new friends. This is a Dutch event where everyone pays their own tab.

Please plan to attend at least 2-3 meetings to get to know everyone. Our group is comprised of boaters, Veterans, and volunteers with shared experiences, who have become friends. Because of jobs and family commitments, we try to catch up with each other for an hour or two each month. We guarantee you will fit in and develop new friends and share some great experiences.

NOTE:  You can deduct as a charitable contribution any unreimbursed out-of-pocket expenses, such as the cost of gas and oil, that are directly related to the use of your car in giving services to a charitable organization. You cannot deduct general repair and maintenance expenses, depreciation, registration fees, or the costs of tires or insurance.  The IRS has informed us that this provision also applies for boats since it is the vehicle used to perform the volunteer service.
