Wounded Nature-Working Veterans Cleans Up Before the Holidays.

Wounded Nature-Working Veterans and a small group of volunteers finished 2021 by removing 3 more boats from our critical coastal waterways and tidal marshes.

Over the weekend before Christmas, we removed a pontoon from Goat Island, the red stripped-out powerboat from the Intracoastal Waterway side of Little Goat Island, and a sailboat leftover from Hugo on the backside of Isle of Palms, near the Exchange Club. This was made possible by a donation from the Farmery family and Smugglers Island Eats & Rum Shack on Isle Of Palms. The disposal work was done by Billy Higgins and Thomas Stutts.

In addition to removing the boats, Wounded Nature-Working Veterans volunteers removed a lot of treated wood and trash from the marsh around the sailboat. A big thank you to the property owner who allowed their property to be used for dumpster staging and the boat removals.
