Volunteer Get-Together
Wednesday, January 7, 2026 – First Wednesday Volunteer get-together and planning session.
This is a very informal gathering of our volunteers and supporters; the later you stay, the more informal the gathering gets.
It is a great chance to meet us and see who we are and what we do!
There is a gate to enter the complex where the restaurant is located. Your server will give you a ticket, so you do not have to pay when leaving.
BRING A FRIEND:
If you know of someone who wants to volunteer, ask them to join us on Wednesday.
We hope everyone interested will come out, meet some interesting people, and make some new friends.
This is a Dutch event where everyone pays their own tab.

Marsh Cleanup
Saturday, March 14, 2026
Low tide is 11:27 am
This is a rain-or-shine event, so watch the forecast and dress accordingly for a day out on the water.
Removing debris from tidal marshes supports wildlife habitat improvement. Plastics, treated wood, tires, and a variety of foams and
trash float into the tidal marsh and end up hidden from view well beyond the waterline.
Volunteers are needed to help remove this debris and return the area to its natural, pristine state.
Meet at the Remley Point boat ramp at 10 am to get signed in and ready to load boats. Expect to get wet and muddy while making a big impact on water quality in Charleston Harbor!
It is best to wear old sneakers instead of mud boots or rain boots. Snacks and beverages are provided at the end, along with a free raffle event.
Prizes will be awarded for the most interesting/unique item found…so hold onto these “gems” until the end and maybe win a prize.
Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

NOTE: You can deduct as a charitable contribution any unreimbursed out-of-pocket expenses, such as the cost of gas and oil, that are directly related to the use of your car in giving services to a charitable organization. You cannot deduct general repair and maintenance expenses, depreciation, registration fees, or the costs of tires or insurance.
The IRS has informed us that this provision also applies to boats, as they are the vehicles used to perform volunteer service.
